As part of a general trend of subversive expectations, I chose to produce a slow, plodding cover of "Ding Dong Merrily on High", a song that is very much about rejoicing. I was inspired to use a brass quartet by a TV advert by a well-known hate group, alluded to by this version being a "Salvo" (as opposed to the later reprise).

"Ding Dong" serves as a leitmotif for the two charitable gentlemen.
