This is a song about a rich guy who looks out and sees a pauper in the snow. Its inclusion seems self-evident. I've finally hit an organ in my search for different instruments, so this seems a good enough time to mention that an early plan for the soundtrack was to have it all performed on the various voices of a 90s electronic keyboard, like this was a primary or secondary school performance scored by the music teacher.
